Good, but buggy.

Game locks at the end sometimes, going back and forth between EXTREME HEIGHT BONUS and the "winner" game end. Something to consider fixing. Also, polish polish polish, this could look a hundred times better with some decent art for logos, buttons, and such. I miss being able to buy equipment too. And perhaps some music as icing on the cake?
You've got the hard part done, keep at it. Nice work. (I miss playing Scorch)

Not bad

Kept me playing for about half an hour, which isn't common with games on NG.
Improvement issues: Consider using a spell-checker.
Also, the "repair" function just wouldn't seem to work for me. No idea why.
Third, the controls were just a little sketchy, the upgrade window thingy should be a little easier to get rid of or work around. Perhaps a stationary window with all of the tools to upgrade that just modify the highlighted block rather than the window appearing over where you click.
Fourth, The sound was a little dry-- but that pales in comparison to the lack of music. Needs to be more lively and urgency inspiring if possible.
Fifth, The art was a little drab, but clearly that wasn't your focus, so that's okay. Maybe you could find someone to give you a little help with the art issue, I'd help ya but I have final coming up, let me know when you're going to make a 3rd game and I might be able to do some drawings up for you (I'll check and make sure the contact info in my profile is current)
Sixth, (and finally) the prices on the guns at the bottom didn't seem to be formatted correctly, and some of the upgrades didn't have a label on the amount of upgrade you actually got out of it.

DESPITE all of my bitching and complaining, I loved it. And I'm only trying to help you out, don't take any of the preceeding the wrong way. Very nice work.

Great idea, but lacklustre

It just lacks refinement. You need to be able to stomp enemies, scrolling screens would be nice, and the controls and contact detection is a little sketchy. Study Super Mario World and try to get the "mario physics" just right. Nice work though, shows lots of promise

Fun. And Funny.

Great game, it would be nice if the player had a little more control of the game, not just "Fire cannon. Wait."
That, and your collision detection is awful. I've flown right through so many objects (both the good and the bad) that I can't take any of the high scores seriously.

This movie deserves a high score, but it also deserves a sequel-- with improvements.
Overall, I like it.

Sweet ride.

All 10s. I don't do that much.

Spectacular.
But too damned difficult.

Use playtesters.

Good game, neat concept, very fun, but I couldn't play past level 13 because frankly I couldn't take the noise of 5 gunners and a 15 second music loop any longer. It was driving me insane. Other than that, very fun, you have some layering issues that make the game a little difficult to play, and your menu system could use a lot of polish, but this is a great example of a concept put to work. Not bad.

Very creative

...and very fun, but dear LORD it would be a lot easier if you had any way to zoom the camera out or actually SEE where you were aiming. I enjoy golf. I also enjoy the dark. But You can't play golf in the dark. It's hard. And you always hit someone with your club.

Very nice.

I can see that a lot of effort was put into this, very nice work. Only problems I see are the music being a little crunchy, and the sprites could have been the 16-bit ones instead of the GBC without too much trouble, it would have looked a lot better than way.

I wish I had time to play through the entire thing, I also with that I could play megaman worth half a shit on a keyboard. =) Nice job.

Gotta work within Newgrounds limits. So sound crunching and 8bit sprites work best for that for a game of this size.
Use the link in the comments to look over the keyboard emulation thing on my dinky forum. You'll be able to use a gamepad instead of the keyboard ^_^

Look at the deaf kid try...

Look, this was nice, it really was. But when will people learn that Demos are never taken with a smile around here. You really just make people mad and waste NG's bandwidth. I'm gonna go back to wiping my ass with sandpaper now, because that's a lot more interesting than this was. I'm sure you can do something great with this, I do believe that. But this doesn't excite me at all.

Bofred responds:

oh man, it's always the same people who talk shit, and i can write one answer for all of you, you have no flash on newgrounds, and i think you even don't own flash, or ever tried to make a game with it,because if you did you would know how hard a flash game is to do.

Violence is not the answer. "Violence" is a question, and the answer is "Yes."
